Serving our community…

We are in locations across Salford because we want as many people as possible to benefit from the services we provide. We also work with a range of local partners who share our objectives to improve the financial well being of all local people.

Our Main Branch – Brotherton House, is close to shops and other services of Salford Shopping City and open five days a week. We also have local service points: weekly information points, largely run by Credit Union volunteers, at the venues listed below.

We also run savings clubs in some schools, generally only open to pupils, parents and staff.

We are keen to develop new service points in other parts of Salford. If you run a community venue and have volunteers who would like to set one up, please contact us at the office . We are always grateful for volunteers to help us run collection points.


Services at local service points

At our local service points you can:

  • Find out more about Salford Credit Union and  how they might help you
  • Apply for membership and open a Credit Union savings account
  • Confirm details of change of address or other information
  • Pick up and submit a loan application form
  • Sign for an agreed loan
  • Make small cash deposits for savings or loans (generally less than £20)

Salford Credit Union works with local partners including Salford City Council, Pendleton Together, the Langworthy Cornerstone, City West Housing, Salix Homes, Great Places Housing, Salford CVS, The Broughton Trust, the Church of England (via local churches), local schools, Salford Community Leisure, North Manchester General Hospital, Pennine Care Foundation Trust, Manchester Mental Health, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, Salford Clinical Commissioning Group, Consortium of Greater Manchester Credit Unions and others.

 Any member wishing to use the service can either contact the organisation direct or request an introduction via the Credit Union.
