Salford Credit Union has partnered with Aperidatato provide an Open Banking platform for our members.
For some loans we require sight of your recent banking data in order to assess both eligibility and affordability for the loan. Our Open Banking platform allows you to consent to us reviewing your transactional data easily, quickly and securely via a computer or mobile phone. You must be registered for online banking with your main current account to use this platform.
If you apply for a loan with Salford Credit Union we might ask for a copy of your Bank Statement to help us assess the affordability of the loan. At that point we will email you with a link to invite you to use Open Banking.
Your data will only be used for the purpose of assessing your loan application and will not be sold or given to any other third party.

Do I have to provide consent? No, but if we do not receive your recent transactional data via this platform or another means, it may prevent you acquiring a loan from us.
Is my data safe? Your data will be handled in accordance with GDPR regulations and our Privacy Policy. It will be stored on our secure, cloud-based servers and will not be held for any longer than is necessary.
What is Aperidata? Aperidata is a brand name for our Open Banking partner and are an FCA authorised and regulated company.
