Salford Credit Union AGM 15th February- celebrating 30 years of Credit Unions in Salford!

We are pleased to invite all our members and supporters to join us for the Annual General Meeting to be held on 15th February from 6 to 8 at Brotherton House, M6 5UX- we hope you saw the date in the letter sent with your Annual Statement.

Our agenda includes reports from Directors updating on the really good progress for the last year- over 700 new members and over 1300 loans made. We calculate that members taking our loans between April and December 2017 have saved between £750k and £1.5m compared to having to go to higher cost lenders such as doorstep lenders or credit cards . We will also present the Annual Accounts, appoint our Auditors and have elections for Directors. Three existing Directors are up for election and one new Director co-opted during the year. If you are a member with financial skills and experience and interested in joining the Supervisory Committee we would be particularly keen to hear from you.

We will be delighted to have an inspirational Keynote Speaker- Tom Togher, Chief Officer of Salford Citizens Advice- who will give give us all something to think about.

AND– We are very excited to be celebrating 30 years since the first Credit Union opened in Salford. If you or your family have memories of those early days please let us know so we can share them with today’s members.

It would help to know how many people are coming so if you can please contact us to let us know: http://www.salfordcreditunion.com/contact/

All the Directors, volunteers and staff are looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible at YOUR AGM!
